Tony Hasham AM (Chairman)
Tony first met Ted Noffs the founder of Life Education Australia in 1985 and was soon helping Ted put more and more of the drug education Mobile Learning Centers on the road. After Ted’s tragic illness Tony was co-opted onto the NSW division of Life Education where he took on the role of Chairman for two years. He has been a director of Life Education Australia since 1992 and became Chairman of the national body in 2005.
Tony has been involved in Variety The Children’s Charity for 25 yrs where he has held the Hon Positions of National Chairman Australia and International Vice President on the International Board in New York. He is currently Hon Treasurer of Variety Australia and International Ambassador for Variety International.
Tony is married to Terri, has three children and a grandson. He loves a game of golf whenever his busy schedule allows.

Natalie Bell
Natalie graduated from the University of South Australia in 2006, completing a Bachelor of Management (Marketing) and a Bachelor of Arts (International Studies), as well as achieving a Bachelor of European Business from the Ecole de Management de Normandie (France).
As the Marketing and Events Manager for Associated Advertising and Promotions, a family owned advertising agency, Natalie manages the marketing, events and public relations requirements of the agency’s diverse high end client base.
Born and raised in Darwin, Natalie is an avid horse rider who has competed nationally and internationally. A director of the LENT Board since 2008, Natalie is also involved with many other community and sporting groups, as well as being the Vice President of Business and Professional Women Darwin.
The Hon Alan G Cadman OAM
Alan held the seat of Mitchell for 33 years until 2007. He became Chief Government Whip and Parliamentary Secretary for Workplace Relations and Small Business. He was Parliamentary Secretary and Shadow minister to Immigration & Ethnic Affairs. He is now a chairman and member of several business and charitable boards.
The Hon Robert J Ellicott, QC, BA, LLB (Past Chairman 1999-2004)
Mr Ellicott was admitted to the New South Wales Bar in 1950. He was Solicitor General from 1969 to 1973. Mr Ellicott was then elected to the Federal Seat of Wentworth in 1974 and served until 1981.
Mr Ellicott has held a number of Federal Ministerial portfolios including Commonwealth Attorney General from 1975 to 1977 and Minister for Home Affairs and Capital Territory 1977 to 1981. Court of Arbitration for Sport-Olympics (Current). Mr Ellicott worked closely with Ted Noffs at the Wayside Chapel and was involved with Life Education at its beginning. Interests include athletics, tennis and farming.
Rear Admiral (Rtd) AL Hunt AO
Tony joined the Board in 1996 as Deputy Chairman. He is a Councillor of the Royal Humane Society of NSW, President of the Sydney Maritime Museum, Vice-President of the Royal United Services Institution of NSW, a Councillor for the Australian Society of Defence Engineering and the Parish of St Canice.

Mark Lacy, BCom LLB
Mark Lacy graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degree in 1987. He resides on the Gold Coast and is a partner of one of the Gold Coast’s largest law firms, Hickey Lawyers where he specialises in commercial and property law, and banking and finance matters. Mark has practised as a lawyer on the Gold Coast for 20 years.
Mark has held non executive positions on the boards of public listed and unlisted companies in Australia and New Zealand. He served as the Secretary of the Surfers Paradise Chamber of Commerce for over eight years. Mark became Chairman of Life Education in Queensland at the beginning of 2011. He joined the Queensland board four years ago.
Mike McAuliffe
Mike has a BA (Psych) and is the owner and manager of Braeco Sales. He has been a member of Rotary for 25 years, Chair of all Service Committees, is on the District Drug Abuse task force and is Chair of the Wheelchairs for Kids Management Committee. He has served on the Life Education Western Australia Board for twelve years and became its Chairman in 2010.
Mike is married to Gillian and has 5 daughters and one son. Gillian established the Bold Park Community School and is an acknowledged pioneer in Australia of Social Constructivist methods of education and nature based education.
Clare Payne
Clare joined the board in 2005. She has a degree in Communications and Law, manages the Integrity Office of an Australian investment bank, is a Consulting Fellow at St James Ethics Centre, a Vincent Fairfax Fellow for Ethics in Leadership and a Davos Future Summit Leadership Awardee. Clare has raised much money for Life Education through marathon swimming, her most recent endeavour being her nine hour, three minute epic swim from Perth to Rottnest Island, which raised over $25,000 for Life Education. She is also a Healthy Harold Graduate!
Professor Alan Rice AM
Alan joined the Board in 2004. He has extensive experience in curriculum and management in both the school and management in both the school and higher education sectors and was the former Dean of the Australian Centre for Educational Studies at Macquarie University. He is a member of several educational and charitable boards.
Paul Siviour
Paul worked at Investec Bank from 2005 until March 2011 and from 2008 until March 2011 was Joint Head of the Private Bank, Australia. Formerly a partner of Ernst & Young, a Director of their Corporate Finance practice for 11 years and a member of the Board of Partners of EY Australia, Paul holds a BEc, Accounting and Finance, ACA and Graduate Diploma from FINSIA. He joined LEA’s board in 2009.
Lynette Thurnham AIMM
Lyn is managing partner of Thurnham Teece Advertising. In 1984 she was instigational in setting up Life Education in the Hunter. In 1987, Life Education in the Hunter received NBN Telethon funds which were used to build a four classroom centre on land from the state government. Lyn was on the Life Education state board in NSW from 1997-2001 and joined the National Board in 2005.
John Waterhouse
Retired Chairman & Managing Director of Faberge Australia Pty Ltd, Max Factor Australia Pty Ltd and Yves Rocher Australia Pty Ltd, John was a founding member of Variety Tent 56 and is a retired Variety board member. He has been involved in many charitable associations including the Spastic Centre.
Paul Wheelton OAM
Paul joined Life Education in Victoria board in 2001 and is Chairman of Life Education Victoria. He is involved in many charities and is committed to helping people in third world countries, including three orphanages in Bali. He is Chairman of the Budget Rent a Car Licensee Advisory Council and MD and owner of the largest Budget Rent a Car franchise group in Australia.
